High precision when preparing polymer solution!
UAP Gratt revolutionizes polymer preparation with this automatic unit. It's labor reduction with precision and stability.
The Gratt Automatic Polymer Unit (UAP) is intended for the preparation, maturation and continuous dosing of flocculating polymer powder solutions, ensuring homogenization, stable concentration and precise application in water and effluent treatment processes. The equipment eliminates manual preparation in conventional tanks, reduces operational errors, optimizes the consumption of chemical inputs and ensures repeatability in system performance.
How does it work?
The Gratt automatic polymer unit operates automatically and continuously, controlling the amount of polymer powder, the flow of dilution water and the retention time required to completely open the polymer chains, avoiding lumps, decantation or breakage of the molecular chain.
Advantages of Gratt Polymer Automatic Unit
Process steps
Stage 01 – Powder storage and feeding: the polymer is kept in a hermetically sealed silo, protected against humidity and impurities. Level sensors monitor the stock and an internal beater prevents accumulation, ensuring constant feeding of the dosing screw.
Stage 02 – Volumetric dosing: the nylon dosing screw, driven by a PLC-controlled gearmotor and frequency inverter, transports precise amounts of powder to the first chamber, allowing concentrations between 0.05% and 0.5%.
Stage 03 – Pre-dilution and rapid mixing: water enters automatically through a flow regulating valve and Y filter. The powder receives a direct jet of water and intense agitation by inclined propellers, promoting immediate dispersion and eliminating lumps.
Stage 04 – Maturation: the solution overflows into the second chamber, where it remains for a controlled time to completely open the polymer chain, increasing the flocculation potential.
Stage 05 – Storage and dosing: the third chamber functions as a reservoir for the prepared polymer. Level sensors automatically trigger new preparation cycles according to consumption, ensuring continuous supply to the process.
Differences

Applications
Recommended for polymer preparation in coagulation and flocculation systems in ETA's, ETE's, floaters, decanters, centrifuges, dewatering presses and industrial processes that require precise dosage of flocculant.
Automation and control
The system is controlled by a PLC with a touch screen interface, allowing adjustment of concentration, maturation time, water flow and preparation cycles. Low dust level alarms, overfill protections and dry-running interlock increase operational safety.
