The evolution of traditional sieves!
The Gratt rotating brush sieve enhances efficiency and makes cleaning automatic with the brush system.
The Gratt Rotary Brush Screen is the evolution of screening systems applied to the pre-treatment of industrial effluents and the capture of water treatment plants. Developed to retain fine and coarse solids, it promotes continuous solid-liquid separation, protecting pumps, pipes and subsequent stages of the process, ensuring greater operational reliability.
The equipment has protective covers throughout, with an inspection window, meeting safety standards and providing safe operation and easy visual monitoring.
How does it work?
The effluent reaches an overflow box located in the sieve body itself, which distributes the flow evenly over the filter screen. The liquid passes through the screen, while the solids are retained on the surface.
Then, the brush system comes into operation, sweeping away accumulated residue and continuously unclogging the filter element. The brushes are driven by a gear motor and can operate continuously or automatically.
To maintain the system's efficiency, a rake fixed to the structure cleans the brushes at each turn, removing adhered residue and directing it for disposal.
Advantages of the Gratt Rotary Brush Sieve
Differences
- Protective covers with inspection window;
- Compliance with safety standards;
- Integral construction in 304 stainless steel;
- Self-cleaning system using brushes;
- Continuous screen cleaning;
- Automatic operation;
- Low maintenance;
- Easy installation and integration into the process.
Applications
Recommended for pre-treatment of industrial and sanitary effluents, collection in ETAs, sewage treatment stations (ETE) and protection of equipment in food, cold storage, textile, chemical, petrochemical, paper and cellulose, agro-industries and water reuse systems.
Construction
Made 100% from AISI 304 stainless steel, the sieve is highly resistant to corrosion and aggressive environments. Its structural body integrates a horizontally arranged curved filter screen, rotating brush system, gear motor, overflow box and automatic cleaning devices, ensuring robustness, long useful life and low maintenance.
Automation
The cleaning movement can be automated by a timer, allowing activations only at periods predetermined by the operator, reducing energy consumption, mechanical wear and manual interventions.
