GADT MICROBUBBLE GENERATOR

Enhance the efficiency of the flotation system!

GADT is more efficient, uses less chemicals and offers surprising results.

Gratt's GADT Microbubble Generator is equipment developed for continuous generation of microbubbles in dissolved air flotation (DAF) systems, providing high efficiency in the separation of suspended solids, oils, greases and organic matter in industrial effluents. The system uses a pressurized saturation vessel and robust stainless steel construction technology, ensuring operational stability, long service life and reliable performance in severe applications.

Considered the core of the flotation process, the generator ensures constant saturation of the liquid with dissolved air, eliminating air pockets and flow fluctuations, resulting in superior clarification, greater removal of contaminants and standardization of the quality of the treated effluent.

How does it work?

The equipment pressurizes part of the treated effluent in a saturation vessel, promoting efficient air dissolution. After controlled depressurization, microbubbles between 20 and 100 µm are formed, which quickly adhere to the flakes and suspended particles. This adhesion reduces the density of solids, promoting their rise to the surface of the float for mechanical removal by scraping.

Pre-mixing occurs in the piping itself, anticipating bubble-floc contact and increasing flotation efficiency, reducing residence time in the tank and increasing the overall performance of the system.

Construction

Built with corrosion-resistant materials and designed for industrial applications, the GADT has a robust saturation vessel, standard connections, a single flotation supply line and a compact design. The design eliminates the need for venturi and special pumps, ensuring mechanical simplicity, reliability and lower maintenance costs throughout the equipment's life cycle.

Applications

Suitable for industrial effluent treatment stations, dissolved air flotation systems, oil and grease removal, separation of fine solids, clarification of process water, treatment of food effluents, slaughterhouses, dairy, paper and cellulose, chemical, petrochemical, ethanol plants and other processes that require high efficiency of physical-chemical separation.

GADT technical comparison

Compared to conventional microbubble generation systems, which use special or adapted pumps, multiple entries in the float, level sensors susceptible to clogging, complex adjustments at start-up and bubble-floc mixing only inside the tank, the GADT operates with a common centrifugal pump, single supply connection, stable manual operation without sensors, simple start-up and continuous flow. The microbubbles generated are smaller and more stable, ranging from 20 to 80 µm, while traditional systems produce larger and less efficient bubbles. Air injection occurs after the pump, preserving the components against cavitation, and the equipment is easily adaptable to existing floaters, without the need for structural modifications.
