Maximum efficiency in dissolved air flotation!
A microbubble pump is a fundamental component in dissolved air flotation systems (DAF – Dissolved Air Flotation), a technology widely used in the treatment of water and effluents by high efficiency and ease of operation. Its function is to generate microbubbles capable of adhering to solid particles, oils and greases in suspension, promoting the separation of the liquid phase and allowing the precise removal of contaminants.
Designed for performance and durability, Gratt microbubble pumps feature state-of-the-art engineering and operate in different pressure and flow ranges. Made from AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel, they withstand aggressive environments and guarantee high resistance to corrosion. Its conception compact and modular facilitates installation and allows integration into existing systems without major structural changes.
How does it work?
The operating principle is based on the controlled pressurization of the air and water mixture. During passage through the pump, this mixture is saturated under high pressure, promoting the dissolution of air in the liquid. When released into the flotation chamber, extremely fine microbubbles are formed, with a high capacity to adhere to impurities.
These microbubbles attach themselves to solid particles, fats and other contaminants, reducing its density and causing them to rise to the surface of the float, where they are mechanically removed by scrapers or collection systems.
The Gratt microbubble pump guarantees constant flow, operational stability and a high rate of removal of parameters such as turbidity, BOD, COD, oils, greases and phosphorus. Its multiphase design, with multiple stages, enables greater generation of microbubbles and increases the performance of the DAF system.
Advantages of Gratt Microbubble Pumps
Differences
The combination of optimized engineering, high-quality materials resistance and flexibility of application is the great differentiator of Gratt microbubble pumps. The robust design, made entirely of stainless steel and with high-performance rotors, supports long periods of continuous operation, even in effluents with a high organic load or corrosive substances.
The conception multiphase allows high generation of microbubbles and precise regulation of the air/solid ratio, serving from low to high pressure operations with maximum reliability.
Applications
The microbubble pump is compatible with any type of float, national or imported, and is easy to install or adapt to existing systems. It is the ideal solution to guarantee stability and high performance in the flotation process.
