Gratt Flotodecanter is a high-efficiency equipment developed for physical-chemical processes of water and industrial effluent treatment, integrating dissolved air flotation and gravitational decantation technologies into a single system. This combination promotes high removal of suspended solids, colloidal particles, oils, greases and flakes formed in the coagulation and flocculation stages, ensuring excellent clarification and operational stability in industrial and environmental applications.

How does it work?
The process begins with chemical coagulation and flocculation, where coagulants and polymers promote the agglomeration of fine particles. The effluent then enters the flotation chamber, where dissolved air is injected under pressure. The release of air generates microbubbles that adhere to the flakes, reducing their density and promoting their rise to the surface.
At the same time, the denser particles settle by gravity at the bottom of the tank. Floated sludge is removed by mechanical scrapers, while settled sludge is extracted by a bottom discharge system. The clarified water is collected through spillways and sent to the next stages of treatment.
