O Mixer GRATT, also known as Industrial Mixer, is a strategic piece of equipment within the process flow of corn ethanol plants, acting directly on the efficiency of integration between the evaporation system, decanters and thermal drying. Designed to operate in severe conditions and with high raw material variability, the equipment guarantees a homogeneous and controlled mixture, essential for the stability of subsequent steps.
Built entirely in stainless steel, the GRATT Mixer offers high resistance to corrosion, greater durability and easy cleaning, essential factors in continuous industrial environments. Its compact and intelligent design allows easy installation at different levels of the plant, adapting perfectly to existing platforms and structures, without the need for major civil modifications.
The mechanical agitation system is composed of two parallel shafts, equipped with blades specially configured to promote an efficient mixing between wet solids from the decanters and dry material from the recycle. This combination is fundamental in the DDG/DDGS production process, ensuring uniformity in the final moisture of the product before the drying stage.
Liquids are fed, such as concentrated vinasse from the evaporation system, through a distributor located at the top of the equipment. This controlled distribution ensures uniform incorporation of the liquid into the solid mass, avoiding saturation points and ensuring greater thermal efficiency in the dryer.
The GRATT Mixer is designed to work with a wide range of operating conditions, from materials with 0% moisture to mixtures with high liquid incorporation and high viscosity. The combination of blade geometry and shaft rotation creates a continuous and dynamic flow, capable of homogenizing components with different particle sizes and densities, ensuring a consistent, high-quality final mix.
