High flow requires intelligent decision!
Modular technology that delivers real efficiency in treatment, rapid implementation and solid environmental performance, with a structure prepared to grow with demand.
O GRATT Vertical Sewage Treatment System (Vertical ETE) was developed for the treatment of sanitary and industrial effluents with high flow rates, requiring efficient technological solutions that can be quickly implemented and adaptable to the operational needs of each project.
For the treatment of effluent with high flow rates, it is essential to develop an appropriate technological solution that can be quickly implemented. In this sense, the ETEs modulares gain space to meet this market demand, as they combine quality treatment for the effluent, easy operation and maintenance of the plant, reduced operational costs and quick installation.
Its main difference is the modular design of the units, allowing expansion according to customer demand, population growth or expansion of the unit served.
Modular, Efficient and Expandable Solution
A ETE Vertical GRATT represents a complete solution for the treatment of sanitary sewage and industrial effluents, combining treatment efficiency, construction flexibility, rapid implementation and an excellent cost-benefit ratio.
Its modular concept allows structured growth, guaranteeing technical performance, environmental compliance and operational sustainability over time.
Sizing
Each Sewage Treatment Station is sized according to the customer’s needs, taking into account:
- Treatment flow;
- Type of effluent;
- Required release standards;
- Possibility of reuse;
- Area available for deployment.
The treatment flow varies from 0.5 to 25.0 L/s for GRP modulation, meeting different population demands. For other materials, such as stainless or vitrified steel, there is no flow limitation.
As they are modular systems, they can be increased over the years, depending on the need for expansion due to the project horizon and population growth.
Applied treatment technologies
The GRATT Vertical ETE is designed with different treatment processes to meet the specific needs of each customer.
The two main system models are:
- UASB, Submerged Aerated Filter and Decanter;
- Activated Sludge with Secondary Decanter.
WWTPs can be configured with anaerobic, aerobic or combined biological processes, depending on the efficiency and quality requirements of the treated effluent.
Constructive Possibilities
Vertical ETEs can be manufactured in different materials, depending on the application and project conditions:
GRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer)
Suitable for compact and modular systems, with flow rates from 0.5 to 25.0 L/s.
Stainless steel
Allows the supply of prefabricated units, significantly reducing the time required for assembly and installation, as the equipment leaves the factory ready.
Vitrified Steel
Ideal for storing large volumes, ensuring speed in construction and installation, with a long service life of the structure.
The materials used are stainless steel and vitrified steel, in addition to FRP, standing out for the excellent quality and durability of the units.
Combined Anaerobic and Aerobic Systems
Configuration consisting of:
- UASB reactor;
- Submerged Aerated Filter;
- Secondary Decanter.
Recommended for applications that require robust treatment, simplified operation and efficient removal of organic load and solids.
MBBR – Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor
The biological system with Moving Bed Reactors with Biofilm (MBBR) allows the growth of biomass on a plastic support medium, which remains in a constant mixture inside the aerated reactor. The use of support medium increases the surface area for biomass growth and increases cell retention time, allowing:
- Reduction of reactor volume;
- Smaller deployment area;
- High efficiency in removing organic load and nutrients.
The material used in manufacturing can be GRP, stainless steel or vitrified steel.
Activated sludge
The biological system with technology Activated Sludge It has the capacity to treat industrial and sanitary effluents.
It presents, in its basic configuration:
- Aerated reactors with suspended biomass;
- Secondary clarifiers (clarifiers or floaters);
- Sludge recycling.
In addition to the high efficiency in removing organic matter and suspended solids, it allows the removal of nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus, meeting legal requirements.
The GRATT scope of supply includes the main variations:
- Conventional Activated Sludge;
- Sludge Activated by Prolonged Aeration;
- IFAS – Integrated Fixed Film Activated Sludge;
- MBBR – Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor;
- MBR – Membrane Bioreactors.
